$25 gives one student free access to two (2) workshops in our beatboxing, bboy/bgirl, lyricism and music production, or visual art program.
$50 gives one student free access to four (4) workshops in our beatboxing, bboy/bgirl, lyricism and music production, or visual art program.
$100 gives one student free access to eight (8) workshops.
$250 (BEAT Believer Sponsor) funds one (1) free workshop for 15 students at a public library.
$500 (BEAT Benefactor Sponsor) funds five (5) free workshops for up to 75 students at public libraries.
$1,000 (BEAT Gold Sponsor) funds a 10-week program for up to 15 at one school or partner site.
$2,500 (BEAT Platinum Sponsor) funds 1 year of programming for 30 students at one school or partner site.
$5,000 (BEAT Keystone Sponsor) funds 1 year of programming for up to 30 students at two schools or partner sites.

Gala Details:

This year’s honorees include 10-time Grammy Award winner Bobby McFerrin, renowned disability dance group ILL-Abilities, and AHRC Transition Developer Jonathon Epstein -- three entities who embody hope in their tireless advocacy for the arts. BEAT will also announce our first ever Rising Change-Maker, a young person aged 14-18 years old that uses their musical talents to uplift their community. They join the growing list of prominent figures BEAT has previously honored, such as Congressman Charles Rangel, Hip Hop Historian Joe Conzo, and Beatbox legend Rahzel the Godfather of Noise.

BEAT is a NYC-based non-profit organization whose mission is to transform the lives of youth and people with disabilities through creative self-expression rooted in Hip Hop culture. The lockdown in March sent shockwaves through our organization, as it did around the world -- but, what keeps us awake at night is figuring out how we can continue to creatively deliver our critical programs to the vulnerable communities we serve.

As we look ahead to a world forever changed by this pandemic, there’s never been a greater need for fun, interactive, and fully virtual arts programming for youth and disabled people quarantined in their homes. You CAN make an impact.

BEAT’s efforts to sustain NYC’s communities through difficult times using art is their way of emulating the joy and generative improvisation that is at the heart of Hip Hop. YOU make that possible!
